What does this error mean, and why does it mean I can't save my maps?

If you go to "Edit New Map" you should see heaps of corrupted level names. Hopefully they're the default ones and not your custom ones.
Delete them.
Also, if one of your maps has been moved out of the right position, use switch maps to switch it back.
TED5 will often crash after each delete, but it will still delete them, and once they're all done it should work fine again.
